What’s On this Easter in South Wales – The Vale of Glamorgan
Dyffryn Gardens, Dyffryn
Friday 30th March – Monday 2nd April 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Cadbury Easter egg hunt
Hunt high and low all over Dyffryn Gardens to find the clues that will lead the kiddies to their chocolate prize.

Saturday 13th April – Sunday 28th April, 10:00 – 4:00 p.m. Plant Hunter Expedition
Become a legendary Plant Hunter! Set off on an adventure through the grounds of Dyffryn to complete the expedition over the Easter holidays. No booking required. You can read our review of the plant hunter expedition HERE.

St Donats Centre, St Donats
Wednesday 16th April – Birds of Prey Flying Demonstration
Wings of Wales will be at St. Donat’s where you can watch eagles in action, witness the silent flight of owls and see the high speeds reached by falcons. Booking in advance only. Morning session is at 10:30 a.m. and afternoon session at 1:30 p.m.

Are you a fossil fan? Drop in to discover more about our prehistoric past. No need to book, this a free family event for all ages.

Beach Academy Wales, Ogmore Beach
Wednesday 17th April, 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. – Marine Animal Egg Hunt
Learn about the nature and wildlife of the coast and follow the trail on the hunt for animal babies. Pre-booking essential.
Cost: £5 per child, accompanying adult free. Additional adults – £5.00
The Royal Mint, Llantrisant
Wednesday 17th April – Friday 26th April – Peter Rabbit Event
Wednesday 17th April – Meet Peter Rabbit:
Peter Rabbit will be making appearances at intervals throughout the day. Plus there will be story telling sessions. Free with the normal Royal Mint Experience tickets
Thursday 18th to Friday 26th April – Peter Rabbit Workshops
Listen to the tale of Peter Rabbit. During the storytelling children will be invited to take part in games and activities inspired by the books characters. Sessions last 45 minutes.

Amelia Trust Farm, Barry
Saturday 6th April – Saturday 6th May – Lamb Bottle Feeding
Help out at the farm with a hands on experience bottle feeding the baby lambs. Baby lambs take alot of looking after. Unfortunately not all lambs are able to be looked after by theor mums and need bottle feeding. You can read about how we got on feeding the lambs HERE.
Cost: £7.50 per child. Normal admission charges also apply. Supervising adults go free. Suitable for all ages above 3 years old.
Saturday 13th April – Tuesday 23rd April – Easter Egg Hunt
Amelia will be hosting their Easter Egg trail throughout the holidays. Follow the 10 clues to find the hidden Easter eggs. Every clue leads to a letter, spell the word to claim your prize.

St. Fagans, Cardiff
Friday 19th – Monday 22nd April 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Easter Hunt
Solve the clues and follow the trail around the Museum, then head back to the start to claim your egg-citing prize! No advance booking needed for this event – pay at the desk on arrival, then collect your trails from the activity station. Limited availability each day – first come, first served. Suitability for children aged 4+

Techniquest, Cardiff

Join famous adventurer Dr Federick Von Rescuberg to locate the dragon eggs, fireball the poachers and to learn about other real endangered species and how you can help. Win your chocolate egg reward

Bryngarw Country Park
Saturday 20th April — Sunday 21st April – Easter Egg Hunt
Find hundreds of chocolate eggs hidden around Bryngarw Country Park! Start your session with a craft activity in the visitor centre before you hunt for the Easter eggs with the fabulous street theatre performers from LaLaLa Productions. Wednesday 24th April — Pond Dipping
Join the Rangers and have a go at pond dipping! What underwater creatures will you find living in the murky depths of Bryngarw’s pond?

Where can you find a creature that is half eagle and half lion? Or one that is half horse, half fish? Or half lion, half goat and half snake? Let Craig Johnson of Squashbox Theatre guide you through this strange, magical world, using a quirky and ingenious blend of puppetry, storytelling, live music and comedy – all presented in that unique Squashbox style!

There is something on everyday during the school holidays, from magic shows to meeting the Dinosaurs to pirate shows. On Easter Sunday there is an Easter funday with free donkey rides and prizes. There will be kiddies rides, refreshments and stalls throughout the holidays. All events listed are FREE. Car parking charges still apply.
Clynne Farm Centre, Swansea
Saturday 13th, Wednesday 17th and Monday 22nd April – Easter Fun
Join in a two hour easter experience which includes meeting the easter bunnies and other animals at the farm, an easter egg hunt and a ride on a pony.

National Waterfront Museum, Swansea

Saturday 13th April – Dino Day and Dino After Hours
The Dino Day runs throughout the day until 4:00 p.m. and is a FREE event. With Dinco crafts and the Dinosaur movie on show.
The Dino after hours is an opportunity to experience the dangers and delights of Ranger Chris and his amazing dinosaurs. There are two sessions, one at 4:15 p.m. and the other at 6:15 p.m. Learn about these colossal creatures and come face to face with our baby T-Rex Ronnie. The rangers will teach you all about fossils, extinction, and bring the subject to life in a roarsome way. Includes free popcorn.

Sunday 14th April, 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – Balloontastic Science Show
FREE event – Join Ha Ha Harries’ and Cbeebies’ Becky Kitter for this interactive Bonkers Balloon Science Show full of thrills, spills, pops and bangs.

FREE event – How to make a cloud in a Jam Jar…and other cool experiments! Join award winning CBBC science communicator Jon Chase as delves in to the mysteries of other cool weather phenomenon and explains the secret of making a cloud in a jam jar!
Margam Park, Port Talbot
Margam has a whole load of activities planned over the holidays with Easter Fun, paddle boarding and castle Tours on most days. Monday 22nd April, 10:00 a.m. – Dinosaurs in the Park
Tiny, the huge Triceratops and Dexter, the cheeky, feathered T-Rex are here to help the fabulous Dr Fossil, along with some of the mischievous Dino Babies! Help adorable Emily Brontosaurus find the lost egg. Meet ‘Spence’ the Spinosaurus and ‘Richie’ the Raptor. See the giant Dinosaur EGG – an egg-stra special experience – climb inside and feel what it is like to hatch out of a massive dino egg! Great for your very own photo!
