Welsh Cakes and Wellies is all about days out and holidays with families. We have three littles ones aged 10, 8 and 3 and we all like to get out and explore as much as we can. After using a site when we were on holiday in Spain to help us to decide on where to visit while we were there, we thought it would be a great idea to set up something similar back home. So the whole purpose behind Welsh Cakes and Wellies is to help other parents with little ones to explore wonderful Wales.

We have a competition running, until the 15th May 2018. The winning review will receive a £50.00 voucher for the Vale Resort, in the Vale of Glamorgan.
All entries will be entered into a draw to win the book Amazing Family Adventures, Fun days out and action packed weekends by S Benson. The overall winner and the winner of the draw will be contacted via email and announced on our facebook page on 20th May 2018.
We will make every effort to feature all posts that meet with our guidelines as outlined below.
Guidelines
Please ensure your post is a family friendly review of somewhere in Wales. This could cover days out, restaurant reviews or holidays. We’d love to hear what you thought of the place, what worked well, what didn’t (if anything) and what ages you think it is suitable for.
- Posts should be at least 450 words long. There is no maximum.
- Please send a minimum of 4 high quality landscape photographs to be used in the post. Please save as file names which make it clear what the images are.
- Provide your name, to be featured, along with the ages of your children
Note: All posts will be subject to editorial review to ensure consistency with the site.
